Hi Folks,
Long time no see! I’ve put together a longer Vlog for you (since it has been a while.) In it I review TDD 4 – 6, and specifically how the arms are used during TDD 4 – 6. I also cover the use of the feet and legs in TDD 7.
I trimmed down the video considerably from the original, almost cutting the content in half. I did this to keep the viewing time reasonable. I also shortened the intro piece to allow for quicker access to the main topic.
True Aiki Patreon supporters really keep the blog up and moving forward. If you will recall, the whole video thing got started at the request of True Aiki readers that began sending generous PayPal contributions. If enough people contribute through Pay Pal again, I hope to purchase a digitizer so that I can upload the (VHS, Beta, and 8mm) video I took over the years. I not only have footage of Shirata Rinjiro, but also other notables such as Don Angier. Sure I could sell DVDs, or put the content behind a paywall. But I figure the best way to preserve this historical media is to make it as widely available as possible.

Hi Allen,
Good instruction movie.
There is some bluish text in the left bottom corner which appears which I cannot read and I am not certain the music adds to the movie.

Hi Fred! Thank you for your comments and generous donations! I could barely see the text in post production which teaches me I have to see it clearly in post or it won’t show on YouTube. Yeah, I agree the music is annoying not beneficial. One less thing to add in the future, 😋

Hi Allen,
for starters a happy new year!
I’m just reviewing your vlogs and I noticed you’re saying “this” a lot, like: “This is going this way.” and it’s not always obvious to me what you mean by “this” in some cases. Which leaves me confused and frustrated. It might be helpful to name things directly instead, like: “The thigh is rotating outwards.”
This way this would clarify this a lot 😉
