Hi everybody! Here is the fourth and last segment of Shirata Sensei’s special class. Now, when I say Special Class, please keep in mind that these classes occurred on a yearly basis and were held for the purpose of the strengthening the ties that bound the regional Aikido organization together. Anyone that trained with Shirata Sensei will recognize that he was teaching the basic of basics. But that isn’t a bad thing. The basic of basics is the most important. On the other hand, I would encourage all that see Shirata Sensei (and others) in video to recognize that what they are seeing is a product of context. This isn’t bad. It gives one a sense of the “man behind the curtain.” Nevertheless, it is a far cry from being in the room where the “sausage gets made.”
Enjoy!
True Aiki is free for all to read, but it is not free. As little as $1 can help to cover expenses and possibly add features to True Aiki.
