Hello to all of you in Aiki land.  I am feeling the psychological pressure of not having produced any video lately.  Specifically, I haven’t finished sharing Shirata’s Tandokudosa.  I could give you my excuses, but I won’t.  Instead I’ll just say that it is on my mind, and I am planning to get back “into the limelight” again soon.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.  I will say that I have been training diligently and continuing to become better prepared to share.

I once was questioned with a thinly veiled accusation that I really didn’t know what I was talking about.  When that same individual became convinced that I did know what I was talking about, he asked me, “How can you justify sharing that?”  (What he considered to be secrets). Well it is simple, the things I know, I was taught openly and never in the context of secrecy.  Therefore, that is how and why I share the same way.

All the best,

Allen

Are you planning any opportunities for seminars in the US or where we could come out west and train so with you?

Hi Brian, Thank you for your interest. Presently I have many European seminars planned. Dojo’s have expressed interest both in the states and Canada, but no dates have been set.

True Aiki is read avidly around the world. It is rewarding for me to see the diversity of global readership and sincere interest. Of the different countries reading True Aiki America consistently has the most readers. You can imagine how exciting it would be for these True Aiki readers to transform their practice and begin to realize ”the dream.”

I won’t retire for another four years, so I have limited availability. Nevertheless, I am more excited than ever to share.

I’m guessing that, like Europe, once I start teaching publicly here, interest and enthusiasm will only continue to build. At that point I hope to have the time to satisfy the demand.

It is truly a great time to be practicing!

    All the best,
    Allen

Thanks – will watch avidly for when you have time for this – I am an osteopathic family doc so the body mechanics of this really interest me in combo with the bodywork and medicine I practice as structure and function is ingrained into us. I also have had the chance to train briefly with Dan and Akuzawa and it was very fascinating for me both from a martial arts standpoint and also professionally.
